When there are so many freehosts with zero ads, what would make someone sign up with a free host with ads?
Thanks

Lots of space + bandwidth, high quality, good support, professional

A option to place the ads where ever they liked. You'd be surprized how many people are willing to do that (adsense). If you let people fully customize their ads, then you will be much more popular than the companies that force big ugly ads on people web sites.

Yes, I agree.
IMHO if you force big-ugly ads - you tend to only get rubbish sites.
I was actually planning a link exchange / mini-banner / button program.
You support one of several sites of ours, you get free hosting.
Question for the mods: does "link exchange required" classify as "ads" or "no ads" for forum offers...

Bandwidth and space can be the most important reasons. And some ads like Google adsense are not that much offensive and they add value to members sites.

I assume that would be ads, if the link exchange was in banner form.

Problem with that is how do you enforce it? Without auto-insertion, you don't have the controls. I suppose you could use something like phpAdsNew to do it, give them the code to insert (variouis options) and tell them that it's up to them to place it. If you're inserting AdSense ads though, you need to be sure that they are aware of placement rules though.
