Banning certain countries?
Hi,
I was wondering if some one can explain how to ban certain countries. Is it ever obvious the way they work. I have had my free hosting company open for less then 24 hours and the Chinese signups are crazy! Atleast 40/ hour. I have denied them all but also have over 100 approved users. Just wondering if some one can explain banning ip ranges.

theres probably websites that show you what IP addresses are usually belonging to chinese countries. Search google. I am working this problem out for a biz I just bought as it gets hundreds of signups a day, many are spammers, scammers, fraudsters and other garbage signups.
Im thinking about only allowed signups from Australia, New Zealand, UK, USA, Canada etc.

I will take a look let me know if you find a good way. I see you must of bough free rack space? I almost bought it but left it for you  This is my first day as a free webhost and the Requests are flowing in. Fun fun!

Lack of Active users and some where of non English so goggle ads show up as nothing. I also wanted to start fresh. It is a good opportunity if you run it right.

You were the one who offered him $300 yeah?
He says he was getting heaps of signups a day, and that he made lots of money when he was selling his own ads, so i couldnt refuse

Good luck Seems like it will be good. I offered 500 but he made it down to 300 for some reason :S Oh well done now and I just started from scratch. Also didn't want the server with it and didnt feel like moving.

I got it for even less than that. But i need to manually move each and every account to my cPanel server. Which will take aaaaggeees

Yea Im using xPanel and love it. I can't belive the flow of free accounts its pretty insane especially since I really haven't advertised.

im just going to use WHMAP as it integrates with cPanel, and giving customers a free cPanel is certainly very attractive
