Not true -- but good hosts ARE scarce. See my post here:

for some ideas of where to look.

My sites are all hosted on ad-free, free web hosts -- some of which have been stable and reliable for years. If you don't abuse your host, there ARE nice people out there who will host you without hassles.

Nice try, masterbo. I'm not going to make it THAT easy -- but if you'll go to the first link of the several search engines I gave you, then click on "Advanced Power Search," then put in these requirements:

LANGUAGE: English
SERVER LOCATION: All
UPLOAD: FTP
WEB SPACE: More than 50MB
ADS: No Ads
TYPE OF HOST: Regular

you'll get a list of 15 providers. Four of my hosts are on that list.
