I was just wondering if anyone could please post some tips of how to provied free web hosting.

It seems like having Auto-activation (for accounts) is a very bad idea.

I was thinking that http://serverbeach.com/catalog/index.php seems to have good deals on there dedicated servers.

I know that you will need to generate some money to pay for the server. What would be the best way to do so?
I do know that the google ads are good, any other good way to get some money to pay for the server?

Any tips for a writing a TOS?

Thanks

Hi,

Well when it comes to approving accounts be VERY carful and look over details alot. I never just approve some one. xPanel is a good program for managing free hosting (www.xpanel.com) although its a real B*t*h to install. There $20 install fee is well worth it. Also google ads are great to start with but banner advertising makes more in the long run I belive. Never used server beach but I use Dual Xeons from ThePlanet and will be load balanced soon.

Goodluck

Auto-activation is ok providing you have many checks in place to minimize abuse and watch your servers carefully..

My best advice would be to plan your income very carefully. Signing up hundreds of people on a couple servers and giving them free web hosting in exchange for showing AdSense ads is great. Then when AdSense cancels your account because of fraudulent clicks or content on a site you didn't know about, your income disappears and then what? CPM networks probably won't take you. There are few CPC programs out there, certainly none that pay as well as AdSense for the variety of topics. CPA ads are hard because your member sites are on all different topics. Just remember not to put all your eggs in one basket.
