I'm new to giving hosting, and I'd like to know some good ways to advertise. Currently, since I don't have many customers, I'm losing money at the moment. :( What are some ways that you advertise?

Just find as many places all over as possible to submit your link, I'm sure people here could give you some places.

Paid banner advertisements are very effective when placed on the right sites. I'd look into Google Adwords for this kind of thing. :)

What's the damage? :P Will I have to pay a lot for the advertising?

Make some posts on forums, offer a good amount of HD space and bandwidth, automate the setup process and you'll have flocks of new subscribers. We reached 1000 (unique) sign ups within the first few days of launching and hardly any advertising was needed to be done.

I would assume that first hundred or so would be spammers and scammers who constantly monitor such offers since they are constantly being kicked out of other hosts...
Nothing personal, just always preparing for the worst :)

Just search Google for "freebies" and submit your site to all the free stuff directories. They receive a surprisingly high amount of traffic.
