the max number of invite you can get is 99
All you need to do is to send the invite to their email
The invite box is at the left(below the tab)

I remember back "in the day" now, when Gmail was more invite-only than now. I remember entire threads set up almost begging for someone to toss 'em a Gmail invite so they can score the big 1GB worth of e-mail storage space.

Those were the days... Now everyone has Gmail.

Which countries still require an invite to sign up?

if someone invites another person into gmail they dont get any invites. only thing invites are good for now is if people wants to bypass the phone thing.

I guess right now, no need to invite.
