Default Horrible Adsense eCPM
Lately I have been receiving a horrible Adsense eCPM of appx. $0.10. I was before getting somewhere around a $0.80, and over the past week it has dropped horribly. My other ads (mostly affiliate based) have been the only reason I am making ends meet, and I would like to know what anybody else would suggest. I just applied for Yahoo, and am trying out Adster, but I am skeptical of both of them. Currently with Adsense I am getting 10 clicks and making $0.35. And all of my Adsense ads are hosting related, so I cannot see how they could be so low.

So just to make a long question short, what other good alternatives have any of you used?

Thanks

Perhaps the people who are looking to get new hosting clients don't want to pay as much for impressions, or maybe one of the big players who was paying out for the ads has stopped advertising.

Well it is interesting now. I am getting less impressions then I was before, and now my CPM has skyrocketed to $1.50-$2 I don't know why now (maybe a new advertiser has signed up or something), but I'm certainly not complaining

Well if it happens again, make sure to give Yahoo a try. I've been with them for almost a year now and I'm very pleased with their support and how they take care of us publishers.

I have noticed the same trend with my cpm.. about a 30-50% reduction. The only thing I have been able to attribute it to was school starting up.

Guys, what im reading is not surprising. You are paid based on your ratio of success. If you get 800 hits and 400 clicks you will make more money then if you get 800,000 hits and 400 clicks. So Zend, check the click ratio and see if it has improved. I run private campaigns (no longer with Adsense. Because it does not pay enough) and I earn about 50$ a month per 1,000 legitamate hits. To put that in perspective, each box goes for 4,000 quality hits per month.

Everyone has a plan, quite possibly you should re evaluate your ad serving techniques now that you realize how Adsense really works

I'll give you a nonspecific trend that I am receiving:
This Month:
5(x) clicks (and impressions) and 5(y) Revenue
Last Month:
12(x) clicks (and impressions) and 4(y) Revenue
So even though I am getting less then half as many clicks and impressions (this is because we haven't been taking any new signups while we work on developing a new feature) I am coming up with 20% more revenue. Go figure
