Default Do you accept users from all countries?
I started my free host today, and advertised on two different forums (freewht included) and.. i've had mostly international users. i'm asking them what language and content their site is going to have/has but i don't really know if i can trust everyone. i don't want my service ruined by an asian spammer!

I have had a free host for nearly half a year, and i have lots of people from lots of different countries. I only let people who use non-english content host with domains, as if they use subdomains they are more likely to do something illegal.

I am from Argentina.
I clearly understand English and Spanish, so all the American countries are welcomed to join my host.

With respect to Asia and Europe, there are other different continent for me.I dont allow Chinese people, however I allow some Chinese images as long as they are not porn, I am interested in some Chinese 9info.

Why you all ban Chinese ips?

I do not ban anybody. If you have a secure website then you shouldn't need to worry about how abusive your users are, it simply won't work. Also I have found that a lot of my users are international, and I make a lot of money off of them

My biggest abusers when I had my free host signup open were from China. No other country ever gave me trouble and I had plenty of great international traffic as well who did NOT abuse.

And by abuse, I mean:

- Using it for file storage
- Making illegal sites
- Hosting warez, porn, etc
- Hosted PHP Shells (Like r57shell....c99shell...etc...common shells used by people to try to break into the host)
- One of em uploaded a mail(); bomber, but I didnt approve of any of the mail.
- Lied all the time about what they were going to use the account for "(e.g. one time they said they were a student and desperately needed free hosting... I approved it, and the next minute the account is loaded with PHPshells and then never used afterward -.-)

I had enough, so, I just banned their range from the signup.

Of course, I've had American people who broke my ToS but it was much less often... and if anything serious ever happened, I would at least know that I could possibly contact their ISP about the problem.

I block China. They're statistically the highest cause of braking your TOS then any other country.

I haven't banned anyone, as I have some Vietnamese users and some Chinese, but I feel that I might be crushed by spammers.

I had a spammer come by and signup, stupid me accepted, and while looking through the exim log i saw he sent 2 mails to random looking addresses (xusmghls@domain.com) and someone posted a link to a site saying not to accept that guy as he is a 419 scammer.

hope it doesn't happen again, but right now i'm closed.
