Default Script That Forces Ads/footers/headers on User Pages?
Hi,
I'm just curious, is there a free hosting script out there, that includes headers/footers on a user's page?

I know how to do this with a dedicated server, but I don't have 1 at the moment . I prefer the script to be open-source(but its certainly not a must), does not require a dedicated server, and if at all possible free - I've seen easyhost/xpanel, and they seem to do the job, but is there a free one that does this ? Thanks.

edit: xpanel requires a dedicated right?

Hi,

There is a apache script called mod_layout that can do that pretty easily. Many other members know how to use it, maybe they will help. Also, do a search, since this topic is a pretty popular one

Have fun!

Thanks , I thought that you had to have a dedicated to use mod_layout , or do you not have to? I've done some searches, but I've yet to find a script that does this, easyhost from cyberscript comes the closest, but its not free .

Yes, you need a dedicated server in order to install mod_layout as you must change Apache.

I have not seen a script that offers what you need.

looks like you can do it with htaccess also.

Can I use mod_layout directives in .htaccess files?
If you enable .htaccess files, mod_layout will work in them

or try php in htaccess
You could add something like this to the .htaccess file in that directory:
php_value auto_prepend_file banner.html
or
php_value auto_append_file banner.html

You can use modlayout directives in htaccess too, but the server need modlayout installed.
