I had 2328 on a Dual AMD 3800+, that's the highest. Although, it had 4 GB of RAM in it.

I have had customers that average 2000+ accounts on decent servers without issues. Now how many were inactive i do not know.

We use to run 600 on a vps, and 1500 on a dedicated server before we sold the company. It seems that ram is the bottle neck for cpanel a lot of the time.

Is that the case? Is RAM the important hardware for a cPanel based server? I was actually just deciding whether I wanted to upgrade my processor or my RAM. Thanks for that

Well this is what has always been a issue for us and most of our customers. I am sure there are other issues sometimes.
