Here is lot of wondering how to cover expenses etc... Why dont you just start hosting something small with your ADSL connection? Use some free hosting control panel or make everything by yourself to the server.
And if here is someone that hosts with ADSL, id like to know how much bandwidth is used, with what line...

You have be sure that your ADSL provider will even allow hosting. Most providers don't allow hosting. And second once traffic starts picking up everything will eventually start slowing down.
Hmm... Using an ADSL line to provide hosting will be slow. I suggest that you get a reseller account instead. Its more economical as well as easy to manage until you grow out of your account. :D

Plus, the money you spend on the ADSL is probally more than what you will pay for a reseller account now adays.
