Someone has been attacking many large hosting related sites lately.........freewebspace.net was hit very hard as well

Very strange... it works now but was not working before. Why are hosting sites getting attacked, I wonder.

Not HOSTING sites, may just a VB's bug/issue so websites using this script got hacked !...

Don't know for FWS but as WHT is hosted by RS and I'm pretty sure that RS have a very good DD protection, so . . .
