Arrow I'm going to run a freehosting business
Hello!

I'm going to open a new freehosting service! BUT! I need do know what program to use to register new users! I have ModernBill right now, but does that work good?

I also need a program that will create the subdomains for each user .
I'm more interested in a complete program, like the one tripod, geocities, angelfire, etc, uses!

Thank you!
Andre

If you want to offer cPanel, you're in for some trouble unless you are very careful.

www.xpanel.com may be just what you need.

You're gonna struggle to find something for free.

As for Tripod e.t.c. they will definately not use a free program!!! They will have something custom coded that will cost $$$$$

If you're serious about this free hosting biz you need to get a program like xpanel. It's a one-time fee, and it comes with installation.

Hope this help.

Best Regards,
Kevin

So what are the issues with CPanel anyway?

I've herad a lot of people slagging it off for free hosting and yet people use it all the time for paid hosting.

Whats the problem here?

^The problem is with paid hosting you get about....well not too many signups a day. With free hosting you get about 200 signups a day. With a program like CPanel it would take hours of setting up accounts. Plus you have to send each user a confirmation email yourself.

With XPanel they make the account for you and all you have to do is press a button to apporve it. Once it is apporved they send the email and setup the account. It is very simple

Hope this helps.

Best Regards,
Kevin

I see. What about the security side of things? - I heard someone say that CPanel wasn't secure for free hosting.

Anyone know anything about that?
