Hi all

I run a vps which costs me around $45 per month.

I was basically wondering if anyone had any ideas about the best way to cover the server cost? (Profit isn't currently important - I just want to cover my costs).

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hello,
Currently I run a free webhosting company and make about $3/daily. This comes out to be about $90/monthly. This should cover the cost. How much space/bandwidth do you have on your server?

Hi
How are you going to cover your cost if you give 200Mb for free? Unless you have a advertising server which run hundreds of ads everyday.

Hello freehostingcompany,
I pay $105/monthly for 80 GB space. This is plenty of room. And of course not every account uses all of their space, and most of the ones that do usually violate the TOS in some way. This enables me to oversell.

I have (Remember this is a VPS) 10Gb space 150Gb Transfer.

I've got some free sites at the moment with no adverts however I'm looking at taking a few more sites that do have adverts.

I know my resources aren't as much as a dedicated server (yet) but it's still better than a reseller!

80Gg for $105. That's cheap. I bought the whole server with a private 1.5Mbps connection cost me around 220. How's your supplier, DMKhosting? Did they give a good support?

Turboz, i think that you should use an ads base on CPM. At lease you can draw back a bit :)

Hello,
I got a quote from SynergyBlue.com after I posted about the kind of dedicated server I needed. Their support is so/so but their service is great!

I do my own backups on the 2nd hard drive. You can also buy backup space from them.

You could, but all thats there at the moment is a page saying "We're closed for business - Check back soon!"

Rather an embarrassment really but my web design skills are so rusty..
