Default Free cPanel reseller site
I would like you to review my website. It is a new website and I am not hosting anyone yet, but I am excited to start hosting people.

Of course, because I am not hosting anyone yet, people at first will think it's a scam -- but as I host each person, I will add the websites to a directory (which I am yet to install), and soon I will host hundreds of reseller accounts.

The site isn't for everyone, and has really only been set up to give people 45 days to move away from a bad host -- or to buy some time if money is tight. I can't offer free reseller hosting indefinitely for so many people -- but I believe there are enough people online that could benefit from a 45 day home for their sites.

I know I have been in that position in the past -- for various reasons.

Please let me know what you think of the website and the idea.

READ THIS FIRST

If ANY ONE disagreas with this please post why and use direct examples. Yes I know it is Harsh. And MODS I know you will see it as harsh too, but some one could fall victim to this guy and send him money. Paypal resolusion will not work on non-tangable items to the people spending the money are screwed. If you disagrea with my comments Please sensor them rather than another warning.

I am harsh but truthful.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Well OK, I will be %100 Truthful

I will try to explain why your site may not be successful, I am of corse speaking from over 5 years of successful hosting experince.

First. The Name
It does sounds like a scam. The domain is very missleading. "freereselleraccounts.com" and it says right at the top "Free cPanel Reseller Accounts - No Obligation - No Ads"

YOU ARE SCAMMING. The way %99.9 of people will read this is that you get a free reseller account for life. Not a 1 month trial of a reseller account. This is misleading and the only other time I ever see a domain called that but only offer free trials or pay stuff is scams and spam sites.

So its mis-leading and wrong.

Your Site layout.

The layout is nice. a bit crouded but still nice. Its not filled with harsh graphics so thats not bad.

Backend Systems

I see that your site is mainly SMF (forums) driven. This is the wrong tool for the aplication. It looks very un-professional Try using a CMS (content Managment System) if you like the ability to login and change a page with a few clicked. Joomla is a very popular system and is in your fantastico.

Your TOS

Your TOS is a Joke to say the least. It was kind of funny reading it. In the TOS you say.
No one is allowed to Host Free Services
No one is allowed to Host Payed Services

WTF are they going to do with the reseller account then!?!?!?!?!?

Also the TOS is very vag, its just alot of running on about how you will ban from the server. IP banned and what not if you don't like the site.

English.
I also read that all sites must all be in English so you can read them. I think this is ilegal. Its called discrimination. To deny service becuase of the language they speak.

WTF

Quote:
<LI style="MARGIN-TOP: 20px">If I accept your application, I will set the account up for you there and then and PM the FTP details to you. Once I have done that, you're on your own. I "really" don't want to hear from you again unless you decided to keep the reseller account -- in which case you need to pay a US $25.00 PayPal subscription.
What the hell were you thinking when you wrote this? You expect people to pay you after you tell them you never want to hear from them again!?!?!?!

In Closing

There is not one part of this site that I would not be worryed about sending money too. Every part of it looks like a scam. Sorry to say but it truly does.

The Entire site seems like it was thought up and designed and writen by a 13 year old boy. Now this may be taken as an insult. But its truly not I base my guess on the tone used in the site and in the manner the site was made. I sugest that you take the time to make the site seem more legit by redoing it.

My my..

The site clearly states what the deal is.

People can have a free reseller account for 30 days.

If they want to extend that period it costs $25.00 per month.

..and I DON'T want to hear from people. I am not going to provide free reseller accounts AND free support. What is this? Bush week?

I provide basic support if people decide they want to stick around for a bit.

There is no obligation.

Regarding the TOS no, it is not a joke. I am not going to provide people with a free service so that they can go and resell it. That's just ridiculous.

If people are "paying" after the 30 days, then I will allow it -- for as long as they're paying.

There are a lot of people online that have half a dozen websites and could use a reseller account like this.

Regarding the "tools" -- the forum will do fine. I have a simple system: Contact me. If I accept to host the sites, set up a subscription. The site will be running until the subscription is canceled. When I get a subscription cancellation, the account gets deleted. It's that simple.

I am not setting up an automated system, and I DO have ClientExec on the server, but I don't want to use it. I don't need it for what I am doing.

I have offered free hosting online before, and when I install scripts to allow people to register, the script always attracts 1000 registrations a week from non English speaking countries that have been told they can go there to get free hosting, and I have to put up with dozens of people trying to hack the system once they have set up a free account. If I don't HAVE a system, I don't have to put up with that problem. I set up the accounts via WHM manually after request. If you don't like what I am offering -- I really don't care. But there's no reason for you to post what you have here unless you have some sort of pre-existing issues.

Basically, I think you need to get a life.

Later.

Later.

GrumpNuts,

Personally, I think you've got a good idea, and I think the site looks Ok, too. Design-wise, it could be better (I'm just not a fan of red), but I think it explains very clearly (ahem, Dro) what it is you are offering. If anyone is confused about what they are getting, it is only because they did not take time to read about what they were getting.

This post seems to be getting slightly out of hand. I'll close it, although it is a good idea for users who need a little help with hosting, smart one
