Hi,
I am determined to develope an online community for survivors of a variety of horrible abuses nobody wants to hear about, but they need to talk about and heal from.
These survivors - and there are MANY - will need support, information, a safe place to share with each other and so much more.
I don't know anything about scripts or programming at all. I'm trying to teach myself. I already have several people who would be interested in participating in this community, but I do not want to pay until I know that it will actually take off. And that I can manage such a community website.
Eventually I will be paying for hosting, that is if it takes off, otherwise it will just die off. That's why I want to start with a free one and really learn whatever I can to run it.
I don't want to invest in a domain right now since I don't know if it will last.
What I'm looking for is:
_ Bulletin Board with several forums
_ Journals for members (preferably private for them to read themselves or to share with others as they choose - if such a script exists)
_ A Good reliable Chatscript that also creates and supports multiple chatrooms that can be added as needed and can only be accessed by members. Preferably some of the chatrooms can be password protected.
_ Blogs for members
_ RSS Newfeeds
Those are kind of basic, but maybe it will give some idea of what I'm looking for.
