These are the official rules for posting on FreeWebHostingTalk (also known as FreeWHT). In addition to the things outlined below, you should always keep the following in mind when making a post: How would I feel if another member of the forum posted this, and am I being completely honest and ethical? Use the golden rule: Do unto others as you would have others do to you. When all members do this, FreeWHT remains a happy and vibrant community.

Your account:
Each member is entitled to one account only, regardless of how many separate companies you may represent. Any violation of this rule will result in the termination of all accounts registered by you.

Thread Digging and Bumping are not allowed.

All publicly displayed messages must be in the English language only.

Play nice - Do not flame, bash, bait, troll or deceive. Be kind and friendly to all members - this includes new members. Just because someone is new to a forum does not mean they are stupid or need to be "broken in". The phrase "Google is your friend" should never be considered a proper response to a question.

Each member contributes a new perspective to our community which we should accept and appreciate. You can respectfully disagree with someone, but do not turn disagreement into a personal attack on the person with whom you disagree.

Copyrights and Trademarks:
We all know piracy is illegal. Do not post, link or otherwise endorse any illegal activity on FreeWHT.

Advertising/Spamming:
Spam is annoying, don't be annoying. Advertising on FreeWHT is prohibited except within the Advertising Forums. Any advertising outside of the specified areas will be considered spam.

Affiliate/Referral links are not allowed. If you do not own or help operate the service do not advertise it. You are welcome to write a review for it though.

Never send advertisements or specials over PMs unless specifically asked for.

Your account must have 10 posts and be at least 7 days old to create threads in the Advertisement Forums.

Trashing of any advertisement IS NOT ALLOWED. This includes comments such as "your uptime is horrible" or "not enough disk space or bandwidth". You are welcome to leave negative reviews in the review section if you have an experience to share.

Signature Rules (Requires 10 Posts and 1 Day Old):
Manually adding signatures to posts is not allowed. Your signature must not violate any of the above rules. Violators of this rule may find their accounts restricted.

Signature Spam is not allowed.

Avatars (Requires 100 Posts and 14 Days Old):
Keep it clean.

We don't intend to censor messages based on the opinions expressed within posts, but we will enforce the policies outlined both here and on the Forum. We reserve the right to remove, modify or move posts at our discretion and without explanation.

In addition to the rules posted here, members are required to read any individual forum rules which may be posted at the top of specific forums as Important threads or Announcements. By using this forum, you further agree to abide by iNET Interactive's Terms of Use. FreeWebHostingTalk staff assume members have read them, and will not take ignorance of any rules as an excuse for not following any rules, policies, and guidelines outlined here and in the forum specific rules.
