You have to give more information on your site.Just putting a banner on your site isn't gonna help.It has to be a big community or where alot of people come to the site.If there is no one,then theres no point in doing that.Can you provide a link to your site?

My site is www.footieforums.tk I know we don't have much users now, but if we have .com domain it would be different. We have regular visitors from many countries. We are going to change our name from Footie Forums to The Touchline and we need .com domain. I am sure we will have much more visitors then, so if anyone could help us we would be very thankful.

Instead of a free .com domain why not apply one for yourself? If anythings happen, you may still keep the domain, nowadays many of them are very cheap, like me, I got a .com domain for just S$20 whereas a .tk with a license cost US$25! .tk is just a redirecting domain and it cost so expensive whereas .com you may do anything with it is cheaper than that!

You can actually get a .com domain for around $5 with 1&1.
